History of Psychology

Some say that the field of Psychology started out in 1879 when Wilhelm Wundt started the first psychology laboratory. However Plato, Aristotle, and Descartes had some ideas of what psychology is today. Plato had the idea that we have certain knowledge born into us.  Aristotle gave us the idea that we have Blank-Slate experience and that is how to determine the knowledge we have.  Descartes believed that the brain and body are not connected the way we know they are.
