Stress and Anxiety

          Stress.. Is it real or is it something we only imagine? Each of us can feel the effects of stress.  It's something that may  trigger an anxiety attack or even make someone avoid people at all costs to them. Some stress is good while it makes us work harder and stay focused longer.  However too much stress is bad for the body and the mind.  If there is too much stress in your life you may find that you are not sleeping well at night, you are having strange eating habits, you snap at people, you are not in a good mood for very long., and worrying about something days ahead of time.  There are good and bad ways to deal with stress.  A lot of people turn to alcohol and sometimes even drugs just so they can act normal and not worry so much about what is to come.  There are better ways to deal with stress.  Sometimes its as simple as talking it out with someone you trust, sometimes just going for a run can help, and it can even be just going out with friends to get you mind off of what is going on in your life. 
          Anxiety disorders are often a lot like stress disorders in the ways that they show them selves.  With anxiety disorders you will have excessive and irrational worry about something that is coming up.  You may be jittery and have muscle tension.  To relive some of the stress and anxiety in your life you can learn how to deep breath and meditate for when you are agitated and keyed up.  For when you are depressed and tend to space out you can learn some rhythmic exercises to get you energized again. All of these ideas are from Relaxation Techniques for Stress Relief.  They have some really good ideas for reliving some of the stress and anxiety in your life.
